Question: Oil Changes

I was told that my 2011 Camry SE I4 used synthetic oil and therefore didn't need oil changes but every 10,000 miles. If this is true then why does this maintenance schedule show that I need it every 5,000 miles?

The need to change your oil every 5000 mi. is for conventional oil. Synthetic you should be able to change your filter at 5000 mi and add a quart or a little bit less. Then at 10000 change the both oil and filter.
